Mike "Stoney" Stone

- Influences: Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Elvis
- Instruments: drums, percussion, guitar, bass and vocals
- About Mike: In 1963 lying in the middle of the living room floor in front of the TV watching the Ed Sullivan show was the first time music ever really got my attention and that’s when I saw the Beatles for the time. After that, my mom had a problem keeping silverware in the drawer, especially the knives. That was the closest thing to drum sticks I could find. I started playing the trumpet in the fourth grade in band class. From there things just kind of snowballed. All through school I was getting in trouble for being in the percussion section when I should have been in the trumpet section. Early on in the 80’s I got hooked up with several people playing acoustic music. I hooked up with Mike Gibbs and we had an acoustic two piece band called Gibestone. We played together for about four or five years and then I met Brent in 1996. We played music together with several different bands with the Southern Rock tune. So far so good, it’s been a good ride and I just hope there is enough gas in the tank to go a few more laps.
- All I can do is just keep hanging in and have fun doing it.
